SMOOCHIEZZ

In Singapore, it really tough to find affordable yet quality guaranteed makeup.  A drugstore foundation costs about $30? For students like myself who do not have disposable cash to use, you would go through all means to find a suitable product that is affordable.

So, my buddies and I headed down to the Smoochiezz showroom this morning.  The products there are generally more affordable than anywhere else.  Mainly because it is a warehouse.  I have gotten my Elf and NYX products from atrium sales in shopping malls all this while.  But at smoochiezz, you can get it straight from their warehouse and of course it is cheaper.

I bought quite a lot of stuff today.  Initially, I was interested in their MAC products.  I read some posts online that they are selling MAC blushes and foundations at half the rate from the MAC retail stores. Unfortunately, they discontinued it.  I've been a crazy blush junkie recently.  I bought myself two blushes from MAC (Gingerly and Melba) @ $37 each.  I going to collect as much blushes that I can. HAHAHAHA

Anyway, we took bus 183 from Jurong East Interchange and stopped at the bus stop (Toh Guan Ctr), walked to the ADL building.  After alighting, the building is in sight.  Just keep a lookout for ADL, you wouldn't miss it.  Take the lift to the 8th floor and keep a look out for the smoochiezz poster outside.

What I bought:
Elf infused Primer - $12
EOS lipbalm - $10 each
Retractable brush from coastal scents
NYX lip cream - $12
NYX lip liner - $6
Brush guard, variety pack - $9
Coastal scents fluffy brush - $8

The china glaze nail polishes are $5.  Holy molly! If you want cheap and quality guaranteed nail polishes, this is the place to go.  As for me, I'll leave that to next time i visit them. You may be thinking, "wow, does she need that many EOS lip balms?" Nope, they are not all mine.  I bought some for my mother and sister of course.

The brushes there are affordable and definitely worth the trip.  If you're lucky, there might be some stilla or MAC brushes hidden there.

On my next visit, i'll probably get the china glaze nail polishes.  My current nail polishes are all O.P.I and i heard good reviews about china glaze.  I might want to get more of the elf infused primer too.  And maybe the concealer palette.  Good for contouring i guess?

Okay, that's all for now.

Too Cool For School

Too Cool For School is actually a Korean brand.  It is now available in Singapore.  It has three outlets so far.  I know that two of the outlets are located @ Far East Plaza and VivoCity.  I don't remember where the other outlet is located, my sincere apologies.

The few items i bought:

  1. Marshmallow Puff (Dupe of the beauty blender) $9
  2. Mascara $38 (I think)
  3. A pencil eraser (Make-up purposes)  $18

The Marshmallow puff is a well known dupe of the beauty blender.  It cost me nine bucks. I gonna be honest here and give you a review on this product.  Other than its appearance and unique shape, there is nothing good to comment.  This is because I have already tried the original beauty blender.  It does an okay job of blending liquid products such as moisturizers, liquid foundations, BB&CC creams and sun screens.

PROS OF THE MARSHMALLOW PUFF:
It's cute
Unique shape
Affordable

CONS OF THE MARSHMALLOW PUFF:
It is not very durable.  On my first wash, I could spot a little tearing on the sides.
It feels much harder than the beauty blender
Does not expand under water.  Therefore, it isn't necessary to wet the product before usage. (Of course, I confirmed this theory with the staff working @ Too Cool For School)

The Mascara was slightly above my budget.  It had a cute design and packaging.  I wasn't too keen on purchasing it until the sales assistant informed me that it was water resistant. Well, she got me there. I've been looking for a good water resistant mascara.  Another interesting feature is that you can adjust the size of the mascara comb just by twisting the "top" of the mascara box/tin/vile/packing(whatever).  I have tried the mascara a couple of times, it ain't that bad.  When you wear mascara without touching up, you'll end up looking like a panda at the end of the day. But I assure you, this product does not give you those horrible looking panda eyes.

Lastly, the eraser pencil.  It acts as a quick remover of pencil/eye make up.  The reason why I bought this was simple.  My eyeliner always smudges.  So this helps clean up the mess.  Of course, I tried this product before purchasing it.  It freaking works!! It has been my life saver ever since.  Any water resistant eye liners out there to recommend??
