Anime review: 07-ghost

Halo amigos.

I've just completed watching this anime series not too long ago. There are 25 episodes if I am not wrong. 25 long draggy episodes with not much of an ending.

The plot of the story line was quite simple. There was a war between two empires and leaving the kingdom of raggs to be completely annilated. But unknown the the army, there was an heir to the kingdom of raggs.

With brick houses, green grass hills and people walking around in robes, I believe it's pretty much the olden days? As for weapons, they have their "zaiphon". A technique or rather ability to write words that are used for offense and defense purposes

To be totally frank, I didn't mind this anime but something just got me so agitated. The anime is quite dragged. I was about to finish the series and the action barely begun. None of the characters have accomplished their objectives. When you are at episode 23 out 25, you expect the series to pretty much almost completed.

This story rotates around friendship and comradeship. I have am not homophobic or anything but this anime is definitely boy love kind of thing. There are girl characters in the anime but they do not play the important roles. I would say light romance between the guys?

I maintain my belief that 2 guys can be close. It is possible to share a bed with a friend IF the situation calls for it. Watch it and you'll get what I mean.

This anime introduces a religion where the worshipers are the faithful servants of God and the Bishops are the executioners of justice.

The bishops are skilled in the area of exorcising the "kors" which are in actual fact demons that posses the souls of people. Hiding the in the midst of the bishops are the seven ghosts; guardians sent from the heavens to prevent to resurrection of the evil one. These ghosts can take the form of humans. Although they only showed 4(1 died).

I think overall the story line, the execution of the story, the fighting scenes and characters are not too bad. What I didn't like was how dragged it was, and the ending was pretty much a cliff hanger. Not forgetting, the evil villain was so powerful that he pretty much didn't do anything. Ayanami had such great potential to add some spice into this series but I guess the director didn't think it was his time to shine.

The ending; when you watch marvel movies in the theatre and they show an ending that pretty much tells you there is gonna be a sequel and yet maybe not??! Screw anime endings like this!!

So, I would not recommend this anime if you hate this kind of endings. If you want something that is action filled, concluded and keeps you wanting more, don't watch this anime.

I heard that there might be a season 2 but right now they do not have enough manga chapters to make another series. It's gonna take awhile if there is a sequel.
