Transformers: Age of Extinction (Movie Review)
The long awaited Transformers is here in Singapore. Recently, I have been catching movies at Filmgarde Cineplex. I love the fact that they have churros and they are freaking awesome. You can call me a Transformer fan, I have caught all of the Transformers movies.
There are some people who don't really like the movie this time round. Well, you have to ask them I guess?
The different thing about this movie is that Shia LaBrouf isn't the lead of this movie. Instead this time, it's Mark Wahlurg. As the title "age of extinction", it is indeed the extinction of the autobots. They have been hunted by those humans who were once their allies.
I love how all of these movies have beautiful special effects - big, loud and long. The transformations of the autobots always make an impact, I love it. This time, they feature the legendary warriors who transform into dinosaurs instead of vehicles. Awesome!! Another thing, I love dinosaur.
Music - What in the world happened there? The sound track is really crap this time round. I really preferred the one performed by Linkin Park. The crappy songs come out every now and then at climatic moments.
When you see Mark in a film, you usually have high expectations. He does manage to deliver, although I don't really like how arrogant his daughter's boyfriend was. The scenes where Mark becomes his overprotective self and chases all the boys away from his seventeen year old daughter. The family thing going on didn't really work out for me.
I guess I am more of an action-thriller type of movie-goer? In the beginning, the father-daughter moments weren't as bad. But as the movie progressed, it's too much.
& good news people, I believe there is gonna be another Transformers movie.
*personal note: Optimus Prime is the best, Bumble Bee's cute too! I love the dinosaur legendary warriors, crazy thing there (in a good way). Thumbs up* I was screaming in the cinema, "oh no, don't kill the dinosaur. OMG, did the dinosaur die? Nooooo, don't kill the dinosaur".
PS. I am not really a die-hard fan. But I am still a fan, I love the movies. Throw at me any action filled movie, i'll watch it dude.
XOXOXOXOXO ~ ADIOS AMIGOS

It will get better, that's what they all say
Time to time, I feel upset and miserable. I wished someone can be there to cheer me up. Come on, I maybe twenty one years old but I still need someone. I wished I could truly truly speak my mind here, but then again; this is the internet. What ever is said here will never ever be private.
I don't want to disclose much of my personal life but sometimes you just can't help it. Holding something in doesn't make it easier, sharing is what does. I need to get it off my chest. Indeed I do.
I miss my mom, my real mom. Not the one who is barely around now. Sure, you asked me to talk to you. But you aren't around much. I need your support, I need your advice, I need you here. I am a very sensitive person and sometimes I just can't control my emotions.
At times, I feel like I am speaking to the wall. I don't feel you here. It is like your mind is always elsewhere. Like I said, I maybe be twenty-one years old but I still want my mother by my side.
P.S I apologize for this sorry ass post.

These times
I am not as strong as I seem to be. I come off as a strong person who knows how to take care of herself. But deep down, I still am a child. I want to be loved by my parents. I want to feel cared for.
With the crazy amount of stress coming from school and projects, I am struggling to be myself. I try to be happy, I try to smile. I honestly feel that I do not have anybody to talk to. And even if I do, they don't understand how I feel.
Sometimes I just want my mother to be there but I just can't pull myself to tell her that I need her.
These times are tough. Many of you will tell me to try my best and not think about it. But it's tough real tough.

Movie Review: Maleficent
Hallo Amigos! Here we have the long awaited film. "it's the evil witch from the sleeping beauty" was my first initial thought. What enticed me to catch the film was that Angelina Jolie is playing the leading role of Maleficent. After watching this film, you will realized that sleeping beauty wasn't like what he seemed.
Disney is trying to emphasis more on other kinds of love instead of the cliche prince charming and princess story but connect with viewers in a more realistic and personal view. Take for instance frozen, instead of true love kiss it was sisterly love that broke the "curse". Well, same goes for this film, "motherly love" this time.
This film is an origin story, though it devotes the majority of its run time to retell the story of sleeping beauty but in the point of view of Maleficent. Maleficent was once a young, horned and winged orphan fairy living in the peaceful kingdom. One fine day, she meets a young boy named Stefan. She befriends him and eventually falls in love. You may have thought, "wow it's mutual". That's what I thought. That sneaky bastard betrayed her and took away her most prized possession; her wings just to become king. Hurt, betrayed and furious, she decided to seek revenge on him through Aurora. Hence, the curse on the 16th birthday blah blah.
Throughout the story, Maleficent gets emotionally attached to the little blond child. And before you know it, she has been spending most of her time with Aurora. Maleficent gives of a very protective and motherly presence in this film. Aurora managed to steal a part of a heart that's left. Maleficent even tried to revoke the curse but it could not be reversed.
Aurora eventually found out about the curse and fled to the kingdom where her father is. She got pricked on the finger by the spinning wheel and fell into a deep sleep. I am sure most of you know this part of the story.
True love's kiss failed. And Maleficent love for aurora woke her up. BLAH BLAH BLAH!
I love how action filled this movie is, also the animations of the different fairies. However, I do feel that the film should have been made longer. The ending was without a doubt, a happy one. =) Although some reviews aren't all that good, it just depends on how well you understand the story. I do think that certain actors weren't really meant for the part; Prince phillip and king stefan. They should have chosen different actors to set the mood. OH WELL!
Overall, I'll rate this film = 3.5/5
