Chinese New Year
Hi there blog buddies,
I know it’s a little late to be
wishing all of you a happy lunar New Year, but happy lunar New Year from yours
truly.
Firstly, let me clarify that I’m
almost full Chinese and so yes I do celebrate Chinese New Year and also Christmas.
Moving on, this year’s routine isn’t any different from past years. Dinner on
the eve at grandmother’s place, which is also known as the red packet
collection day! HAHA I’m serious. I have a cousin who only comes on that day,
for obvious reasons; if you know what I mean. The actual day of Chinese New
Year is just hanging out at grandmother’s house and catching up with our
relatives.
To be honest, it is weird and
kind of awkward since I only ever meet them like once or twice a year and it’s
hard to have a conversation with either of them. So, I guess you would say that
I can’t wait to get back home to Luka and Sasha (fur kids). I get so bored
every single year as one of my closer cousins have to entertain my grandparents
or I’ll say the other cousins in gambling. The next time round, I’m so gonna
bring my lap top and watch my American dramas. You know, something to pass
time. It’s not rude to them, trust me that I know my manners alright.
Plus the fact that I have a younger cousin who loves to hug everyone and I hate that she wants to hug me and take selfies with me. Sorry girl, I just dislike you. So it will be good, if you stayed away. She is only thirteen and is already putting on make up and asking people how do you apply false lashes. Reason for using make up??? I don't want to waste my mother's make up. God! Stop
I guess my relatives are not
really the kind of traditional type who has traditions and lots of superstitions
on what colours we should or should not wear on this joyous occasion. It’s more
of a reunion, I suppose.
Nevertheless, it’s still pretty
good. I had fun, i guess. HAHA enough of my sorry ass CNY! Good night ya’ll!

Niks Maple Clinic North Clinic
Bad news guys! The north clinic is closing
down. It is only open for enquires and replenishment of medication. All
existing customers are to head to the other clinics for consultation or further
medication top ups! L So inconvenient
for me! Jurong east & tampines is too far while as the one at orchard
requires an appointment.

Movie Review: Wedding Ringer
Hi blog buddies,
So the other day at JB, I may or may not have mentioned that I caught a movie there? But I am mentioning it now that i did managed to watch the wedding ringer. YAY!
it was the kind of moment where you watched an awesome trailer and you have to watch the entire movie. Sometimes the trailer is just the best parts of the movie compiled together, and sometimes it's even more. For this movie, the trailer was the highlights but definitely not all of the "fun" factor in the movie. Great movie to catch with your loved ones and friends. Do not miss this!!
Breath taking was what it was, literally. I could not stop laughing. The characters in the movie were simply hilarious. Especially the bald asian dude, the stutter and also the gangster boy who had to impersonate a lawyer? What an odd combination huh! It's like a school of misfits. I'm sorry for those of you who did not get the jokes made in the movie but this movie was one of the most interesting and funniest comedies out there. You definitely have to catch it.
The idea of the movie is really good. At weddings, you would need the best man or bridesmaid to make the "speech" and those who doesn't have anyone to do it for them, thank god for the wedding ringer.
I rate this movie, 4.5/5 :D
P.S. i know this is a short review, but it's too damn good to have any criticism.

Short Getaway to JB
Hi blog buddies,
It's probably been awhile since my last entry. Crazy hectic exam schedules and mega dry modules to study for. I had to stay up for two days straight just to study for two back to back exam papers. Today was my last paper, (like finally) and We (me and nadhirah) decided to kick start our holidays by heading to JB. Also, because we had some items that we needed to get. What's a cheaper and better alternative to get your drugstore products huh? JB's definitely it.
Firstly, you can take bus 950 to and fro between sg and malaysian customs. There are also buses 160 and 170 but we usually take bus 950. There is a new mall that opened up next to city square, it's a little high end and not all the shops has commence business. Shops available there are like new balance, M.A.C, bath and body works, pandora, victoria secret and many more!
Got all the stuff i needed, such as:
not all the items i need are there though, i wanted heat protectant which i couldn't find. I intended to get more concealers etc but I realised that i should probably finish the ones that I already have.
I'll update more soon, till next time :)
