My experience in Australia

My experience

First and foremost, this is just based on my perspective. I do not hope to offend anyone.

Australians are really friendly and enthusiastic. When you walk into the store, they are all smiles and "how are you doing today?", "hey ladies.". Unlike in Singapore, where they say customer service is the best. Maybe in certain sectors, customer service is top notch but not all the time. I have so many cases that I got mad or annoyed at the person attending to me. Off work, they are also really friendly. They can pick up a conversation with simply anyone and keep it going.
Since there is a vast amount of land, most of the buildings are low rise.
There is a bicycle lane.
Everyone is super active. At 6am, everyone is already up and running about. Jogging, at the beach surfing, at the exercise counter ... You can see people just skateboarding to and fro.
Public transport fees are really expensive. Maybe it is for me, given our currency rate. But, is it expensive for the australians? Well, I wouldn't know. Same goes for food actually...
The beaches are really clean and the ocean is beautiful. The tides are pretty high at night as well.
Not everything closes at 5pm. Surfers Paradise is pretty lively. Maybe because that is where all the pubs and clubs are.
Australians are pretty chill. Beach wear, sleeveless, tank tops, shorts ... By night, they do dress up though.
At 6am, the sun is already up. And at 6pm, it is already dark.
Sometimes, I do find it hard to understand their accent. I even thought, they weren't speaking english a couple of times. Geez.
Airport security on bringing outside food into the country is pretty strict. So please declare if you do bring in food.
Bringing food out of australia is nothing.
The tram is pretty cool.
The buses do travel at a faster speed compared to Singapore Buses. Maybe it's because the bus stops aren't that close to each other.
