Monthly Dental Visits for Braces: Five Months
Hi everyone,
Just yesterday I had my braces tightened, adjusted what not again. I chose dark blue this time as I'm going to have indian food on the coming monday. The colour wasn't the blue I wanted but oh well... Sometimes you just can't get what you want.
This
time my dentist placed the power thread on 3 of my teeth. That hurt, I
literally teared. Now, there is a gap between my two front teeth. I hate these
gaps but in the future, the gaps will disappear. I read that it is common that
your teeth will have gaps that never were there in the future. In addition to
the power thread, the dentist placed bite turbos behind my two front teeth.
This is to prevent my upper teeth from hitting the bottom teeth (due to my deep bite).
"Bite Turbos are small composite platforms placed on
the inside of the upper front teeth, or on the biting surfaces
of the back molars, to prevent full closure of the teeth. When upper and lower
braces are placed at the same time, in many instances, the top teeth bite down
and contact the lower braces."
You can google how bite turbos look like. It's rather uncomfortable and annoying. But i'm sure i'll get used to it. It's similar to the bite pillows on my molars. (they are the blue stuff on my molar in the picture).
That's all for now.
Cheers,
CAZP
