Monthly Dental Visits for Braces: Seven Months

Hi all,

Just had my braces monthly adjustments. This time, some of the brackets were removed and replaced. Arch wires changed as usual. No power threads but the adjustments feel a little tighter than usual. No pain though ~

There are some improvements in my teeth. The bottom set looks straighter. This time round I chose blue and green. I was hoping for a turquoise and electric blue. But this was the closest colour they had. Good enough.

That's all folks!

XOXO,
CAZP

Monthly Dental Visits for Braces: Six Months

Hi all,

Actually I'm confused by the amount of time that has passed. Since June is over, it's the completion of my sixth month having dem braces. Hope this clears things up. This is the way I count my treatment progress. I had it placed in January.

It took me awhile to get used to the bite turbos. It's much better now. However, of course I can feel it. The dentist mentioned that my lower teeth still ain't straight and she might file it a little.

You can see that the bite turbos actually prevent my upper row of teeth from hitting the brackets on the lower row.

On the last three teeth on each side (bottom row), the dentist placed the power thread through them. So this time round, there's more pressure on the lower row of teeth.

On the right side, there has always been this annoying gap that is so wide that my food always loves to play hide and go seek in that bloody gap. Flossing was a chore. It also prevents my teeth from becoming a complete arch/horse shoe.

The circled area is where she actually filed my teeth.

In the picture, it is not very clear but in person, I could totally see where she filed it. Reason because there are small gaps visible.

I got a feeling that the bite turbos actually made my bottom row of teeth more crooked than it was before ~

Colour: I asked for teal and pink but she gave me blue and pink. Oh well.. Curry will do the trick but then, my pink would turn orange too.

Xoxo,
CAZP <3

Monthly Dental Visits for Braces: Five Months

Hi everyone,

Just yesterday I had my braces tightened, adjusted what not again. I chose dark blue this time as I'm going to have indian food on the coming monday. The colour wasn't the blue I wanted but oh well... Sometimes you just can't get what you want.

This time my dentist placed the power thread on 3 of my teeth. That hurt, I literally teared. Now, there is a gap between my two front teeth. I hate these gaps but in the future, the gaps will disappear. I read that it is common that your teeth will have gaps that never were there in the future. In addition to the power thread, the dentist placed bite turbos behind my two front teeth. This is to prevent my upper teeth from hitting the bottom teeth (due to my deep bite).

"Bite Turbos are small composite platforms placed on the inside of the upper front teeth, or on the biting surfaces of the back molars, to prevent full closure of the teeth. When upper and lower braces are placed at the same time, in many instances, the top teeth bite down and contact the lower braces."

You can google how bite turbos look like. It's rather uncomfortable and annoying. But i'm sure i'll get used to it. It's similar to the bite pillows on my molars. (they are the blue stuff on my molar in the picture).

That's all for now.

Cheers,
CAZP

Just another day out

Hey everyone,

Met up with my friends today. We decided to bowl @ toa payoh SAFRA and play pool after that. I only bowled like twice in my life. HAHA and i'm definitely surprised at my score. I'm Alex btw.

Learnt how to play pool and got the gist of it at least. I'm still not very good at it. I missed a couple of times. Okay, quite a number of times. But I did manage to shoot some balls. Hell, I don't know what terms they use.

We then decided to head to bugis to have dinner. We had dinner at Wingzone. It was an interesting experience but I don't think i'll go back there ever. I don't think its especially amazing. Sorry, honesty at it's best.

Thanks to Rahul. Who bought me the cute emoji keychain and it completely reminds me of him. And the lovely cake. I didn't expect to have u guys sing a birthday song for me in the middle of a fast food restaurant. But i really appreciate it. :>
