Movie Review: The Maze Runner
The Maze Runner has a cast of young dudes, a structure that is so video game like. I do feel a sense of familiarity as it gave up a similar vibe to hunger games. Fighting for survival kinda thing. It is a well paced adventure/thriller with an intoxicating sense of mystery.
This movie does take some time to actually get to the interesting and fun part. I am not really a fan of Dylan O'Brien. From the title of the movie, you more or less would have guessed what kind of story it actually is. Escaping the maze blah blah.
I believe this movie is an adaption from a book. Although I have not read the book, I could pretty much predict what was going to happen. So, it wasn't much of a mystery to me. It is very predictable but in my personal opinion; the execution is much better than the hunger games.
As a female viewer, I would say there weren't much "eye candy" other than Minho; a famous Korean-American actor who in the film appears very athletic and interesting. There is definitely going to be another movie.
The effects and sounds were great. And even the visuals were very appealing as well. But the thrill factor but just good enough.
Quite a short review, but I said what I wanted to say. I would rate this movie a 3/5.
