Review | NYX Simply Irresistible Lip Cream Collection

Credits is in the picture. The picture above does not belong to me! The line consists of simply nude, simply vamp, simply pink and simply red.

This post is a little overdue since I got the products about more than a month ago. Well, as many of you know, Singapore does not carry much of NYX’s products. The ones you find in Sephora is just mainly standard kinds like the jumbo eye pencils, the concealers etc.

There are other places you can get NYX products here in Singapore:
  • Smoochiezz - it's a warehouse
  • Carousell
  • http://luvglitzsg.com
Smoochiezz do not carry the new and highly raved about simply irresistible lip cream collection. Okay, so let's get to the review!

I got 3 of them. It's quite hard to get them in Singapore, even here it's so darn popular that it is constantly out of stock. I was super interested in them and I wanted to collect every single shade in the simply nude and vamp. But with time, I lost interest or I’ll say realised not all are wearable for me. You see, my lips are kind of pigmented. The colours do not turn up like the one in the picture above
I was pretty disappointed. Also, since it has been out of stock for a fair bit, i don't want it as much as before. I bought honey and exposed from the simply nude and enamoured from the simply vamp.

The most wearable of the lot I bought is definitely exposed. Honey kind of washes me out, it is not very pigmented on my lips and it makes me look really pale.

In terms of colour or pigmentation of the product, enamoured is pretty pigmented. Exposed is more pigmented than honey and lasts slightly longer.

Creamy or not? Many reviews do say that they are really creamy and moisturising. It's isn’t that creamy and isn’t that drying. Honey feels more drying compared to the other two I got. I wonder why?

Longevity? It's exactly like a lipstick. Comes off when you eat, drink and wipe it off. Of course, you must touch it up if you want the colour to last all day long. Every time I eat, I will wipe my lips. Hygiene purposes, so the colour doesn't last long for me.

Application wise: pretty smooth. The crayon glides on well and it's easy to apply.

The downside of this product is that during shipping, it gets broken easily. The packaging is cute and all and the concept is great but durability is definitely not there. For me, honey broke off during shipping. Thank god, Honey is one of my least favourite since it's not what I expected.

Maybe when I have the money or time, I'll consider getting the rest of the simply nude collection and temptress from the simply vamp.

Swatches!

That's all for now,
Signing off,
XOXO
